whhhhhhhhheeeew. guys, guys.... this movie haunts me to this day. i watched it twice when i rented it. you know, i thought it was a very good adaptation of one of the strangest (and possibly best) literary ghost stories ever written, THE TURN OF THE SCREW, by henry james. you know what i was thinking of on this very day? a scene from the movie: the ghost of the woman who hovers silently across the pond, motionless, her eyes mere shadows in her deep eye sockets. it still haunts me. eerie beginning, with the wringing hands, the sobbing. this one gets a serious 8 from me.
